A few weeks ago, a Simple Scrapper reader asked how to blend photos into the background with PSE. It is surprisingly easy! To start, let’s select a photo and a paper. This paper is from Amanda Heimann’s Lucky kit. Then, add both selections to a new page, with the photo layer on top. Create a new layer and use the gradient tool to create a color-to-transparent gradient. Move the new gradient layer to beneath the photo. Use Ctrl/Cmd+G to clip the photo to this mask.

I AM IN A SPECIAL KIND OF HELL. No, I did not get my Pink Paislee box today. Because I went to the post office to pick it up….and they were closed. Due to the 4th of July holiday. I’m in the kind of hell they send you to when you order THIS box of goodies from PINK PAISLEE , one of your favorite scrapbooking companies ever, and then hold the box that should rightfully be yours like some kind of scrappy hostage behind the locked doors and silver fold-down screen of a federal build

Paper Background Texture is one of the most sought after type of textures by digital artists, web designers and graphic artists. In fact this is my third collection of paper textures. I just can’t seem to get enough of paper textures. This collection is much easier to browse through because what I featured here are individual textures. Personally, I prefer to view the textures first before downloading them. But you cannot do so if you the textures are contained in a zipped file wherein you have

Who doesn’t love a good grab bag? We have a huge surplus of unopened sewing and craft supplies from various manufacturers that we have partnered with on past projects. So we want to pass these goodies on to you! We have 16 bags up for grabs—each one is full of all kinds of cool stuff! I saw some adorable pink Exacto knives, pretty threads, nifty scrapbooking stickers, and I was tempted to snag a couple of the stamp pads. But alas, all these incredible products are destined for you, not me! Y

I decorated this Maya Road mailbox with some very pretty Webster’s Pages Sweet Cherry Pie paper. I loved the Vintage Americana feel these papers had! It opens and can hold little surprises. This one will be going to my husband’s grandmother filled with photos. I decoupaged some of the vintage label elements of the paper on in various spots to add to the charm. I also used Jenni Bowlin Milk Cap Buttons, Stampin’ Up Postcard Stamps, Making Memories eyelet ribbon a

Hello and welcome to the Weekly Blog Hop and to Katie’s Nesting Spot! I orginally started my blog as strictly an online journal for my family. I wanted somewhere to record little snippets of what we’re doing. This way I’d have everything already written for when I eventually get around to scrapbooking my piles of photos. It quickly evolved into a creative outlet and a place to share the learning adventures I have with my toddler. I love blogging about our daily life, becoming friends with other

I think that I may have promised to no longer blog about kittens. Unfortunately, today I will break that promise. As you may or may not know, our second batch of kittens consisted of three males that were abandoned by their mother, Piper. From day one my wonderful and amazing wife took it upon herself to become a surrogate mother to these babies. She bottle fed them every four hours (supplemented by the sister-in-law while we were at work), she bathed them, she medicated them, she played wi
